Graham Cross, Director Commercial Alliances and Supplier Innovation, Unilever
Dr. Graham Cross gained his BSc and PhD at the Royal College of Science and Technology (Imperial College) within the University of London. His PhD was a collaboration with Pfizer Central Research and focused on the Organic Synthesis of Podophyllotoxins. In 1985 he started to work with Professor Richard Kellogg at the University of Groningen on a NATO scholarship granted by the Royal Society of Chemistry. He joined Unilever in 1988 as a chemist. In 1994 he moved into interface management between respectively R&D & marketing and R&D & supply chain aligning R&D plans with business needs in the other functions. He became Senior Technical Project Leader in 1999 and at the end of 2004 he moved to the Corporate Centre to drive Collaborative Innovation becoming Unilever Foods Collaborative Innovation Director until 2008. He has now assumed the function of Director of Supplier Innovation for all of Unilever’s Brands.
